The Palace Avenue is a creative outlet for my love of all things British. The styles of Kate Middleton, Pippa Middleton, and Meghan Markle are my main source of fashion and lifestyle inspiration, and I hope this provides you with a little royal magic of your own!
I started my love affair with royalty and the UK from my earliest days as a child. I had the incredible opportunity to meet Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 2007, which only fueled my Anglophilia. I graduated from the College of William and Mary (the only United States university with a Royal Charter) in 2010 and transitioned to law school shortly thereafter. With studies taking up the majority of my time, I had to put my royal watching on the back burner, but stayed very much aware of the "Kate Effect" during and after her wedding to Prince William, and began casually emulating the style of the Duchess of Cambridge. I also picked up a favorite tv series- Suits- the star of which, Meghan Markle, is currently dating Prince Harry and serves as another source of inspiration. I graduated from law school and became a barred attorney in 2013, the profession I still practice today.
In early 2017, I discovered a community of like-minded "Replikaters," women from around the world who also shared my passion for royalty and fashion. I began posting outfits on Instagram, (@lady.m.replikates), and garnered the attention of news media, including the Telegraph, the Daily Mail, the Mirror, POPSUGAR, and numerous others. I decided to expand my platform, and thus this as a new adventure was born!
I will be posting my outfits here, but will maintain a social media presence on Instagram and Twitter. I can be reached via email as well, and look forward to interacting with you on this truly wonderful journey.
WHY PALACE AVENUE?
Palace Avenue is the name of the street leading into the residences of Kensington Palace, home of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, as well as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. This blog is the entrance into the style of the residents of Palace Avenue, and I do hope you enjoy your stay!
