My husband and I are heading to Chicago at the beginning of November for a wedding, and I had been searching for a dress for the occasion. When I saw Meghan Markle's Wilfred dress from Aritzia at the opening ceremonies of the Invictus Games, I was keen to give it a try. At around $185 USD, the price point for a semi-formal dress was reasonable, but the Meghan Effect began to take over quickly! The Aritzia website was running out of stock in the beautiful burgundy color, so I messaged their customer service team, who, on a Sunday no less, was able to track down one in my size in their Boston retail store. They quickly dispatched it, and it was love at first sight.
The deep oxblood color is rich and luxurious, and the material is heavy as the chiffon is fully lined. The style is actually a traditional wrap dress, which made fitting it a cinch (pun intended?) and let's be serious, perfect for twirling. The sizing at Aritizia is a little tricky as it varies from brand to brand, but I found this dress to fit true to the size chart listed on the website. It's definitely a keeper, and I am very excited to take it along for the festivities next month!
