When Kate wore a classic Luisa Spagnoli striped pullover earlier this year, my well-documented love of stripes called to me to add this to the collection. Luisa Spagnoli's customer service was amazing- they had temporarily run out of stock as a result of the Kate Effect, but kept me informed on the status of my order repeatedly. When it shipped, they emailed to let me know that as a result of the slight delay, they would be including a scarf as a gift for the inconvenience.
The top came with its own dustbag (!) and is incredibly comfortable. Being very petite, the top is slightly long in the length and the sleeves, but as its made of wool, I'm a little scared to do anything to shrink it. Overall, it's a wonderful piece to be worn transitionally or in winter with a camisole underneath, and is a welcome addition to the closet!
One of the truly wonderful things about following Kate's fashion is the introduction to new brands I'd never worn or heard of before. Luisa Spagnoli is a well established brand with brick and mortar stores in Italy and throughout much of Europe. Kate has worn some of the brand's suiting during other engagements, but their collection includes extensive casual wear as well. I was impressed with their packaging, customer service and communication, as well as the high quality of both the top and the included scarf. They are definitely a brand I will return to, especially as the price point is not outrageous.
Do you own any Luisa Spagnoli? What are your thoughts on the top?
