Sometimes it's fun to ponder what would be on the dressing table of our favorite HRH, especially knowing a few tidbits about her favorite beauty products. The face charts for both Kate and Pippa were released after the Royal Wedding, detailing their selections of products that they applied themselves! Bobbi Brown, the Middletons' brand of choice, happens to be a favorite of mine as well. I wanted to share some of my favorite products, many of which were inspired by the sisters.
The first Bobbi Brown product I tried was the lipstick in Sandwash Pink (US | UK), the favorite color of the Duchess. The rosy tint is perfect for everyday wear- it's my go-to shade for work or a night out with friends. I occasionally top it with Pink-Beige gloss if I'm looking for a little shine.
During the spring and summer, I wear bronzer to add a little color, but I received the Bobbi Brown blush in Sand Pink for Christmas. The hue, worn by Pippa at the Royal Wedding, adds just the right amount of color for the colder months of winter when I look a little more washed out.
My bronzer is the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Compact, which adds just a hint of sparkle and the right amount of coverage to add a healthy glow. It's reported that the Duchess is a fan of the bronzer, especially during her pregnancies when she can't get a full-on spray tan.
In addition to makeup, the Duchess probably keeps a few of her top fragrances on her dressing table. Two fragrances took center stage for the Duchess on her wedding day- her bridal scent, Illuminum's White Gardenia Petals, and the scent at Westminster Abbey- Jo Malone's Orange Blossom (US | UK) cologne. I love White Gardenia Petals, but as it's not readily available anymore, I save it for very special occasions. Jo Malone, however, is one of my favorite perfumers and I enjoy several of her scents in prominent rotation (English Pear and Freesia (US | UK) for everyday wear, Earl Grey and Cucumber (US | UK) for chilly autumn and winter, and Nectarine Blossom and Honey (US | UK) for warm summer days). Fun fact: the five-pearl brooch is a Replikate for one worn by Kate during the 2014 Trooping the Colour and is available on Etsy by DBakerJewelry)!
I wish I had clear, perfect skin, but that's one blessing that has never been bestowed. Fortunately, Yves Saint Laurent's Touche Eclat is perfect for covering up blemishes and redness, as well as brightening that stubborn raccoon eye!
Finally, I wanted to make a quick mention of Trilogy Rosehip Oil, beloved by the Duchess for it's reduction of redness, calming of breakouts, and antioxidant properties. I have been using it religiously this winter, and it's kept my skin from feeling dehydrated and papery, which is a huge relief!
As an added bonus, here are the Face Charts for Kate and Pippa, just in case you want to try out some of their favorite Royal Wedding products! What are your go-to royal makeup and skin care products?
