I love seeing the various festive outerwear ensembles sported by the royals during the holiday and winter months. In 2016, the entire Cambridge family made an appearance at a holiday church service, and the Duchess sported a long coat by favorite label Hobbs from many years past. She added a little flair with a detachable faux-fur collar from ASOS (sold out, unfortunately), which was both classic and fun simultaneously.
I was going through my closet as a part of my resolutions for the new year, and stumbled upon a very old L.K. Bennett coat in a pretty plum shade, purchased from a charity shop about three or four years ago. I had forgotten about it and nearly donated it, when I realized it would make a great "replikate" for Kate's Hobbs Celeste coat (similar ones here and here (this one is only $24))!
The only thing missing was the faux fur collar. Fortunately, the internet has a great many fake fur options (and most are very reasonably priced!), so I ordered one here ($18) and was pleasantly surprised at the color and quality!
All in all, I probably spent less than $25 on this Replikate outfit, which goes to show that with a little creativity... and, okay, mayyyybe also a little hoarding of coats from years past, it's possible to throw together a royal-chic ensemble, perfect for the colder months!
I've had some questions about my earrings in the past- they are Links of London White Topaz Pearl Drop Earrings ($150 and currently 20% off!) and still available! They might even make a good hint for a Valentine's gift from that special someone...
I'm beginning two weeks of travel for work today, so if anyone has any great recommendations for things to do in Lancaster, PA or Raleigh, NC, please let me know!
