This weekend, we were gifted with a day of absolutely gorgeous, un-January temperatures that brought most of the region out from the cozy burrows of their fireplaces, cable-knits, and hot beverages. With the sun shining (but the birds unfortunately still hibernating and the flowers still underground), James and I decided to head to a local vineyard for a wine tasting and an afternoon of enjoying the lovely weather.
Stone Tower Winery, located in the heart of Virginia Wine Country, is a beautiful property with several tasting rooms, a pond, and acres and acres of open pastures, grape vines, farmland, and water features. The wine was delicious, and it was a glorious day to enjoy our surroundings, lounging outdoors to live music and a friendly breeze.
It was thrilling to pull out a spring dress in the middle of winter, so I opted for the Tory Burch Brigitte dress in Madura Ocean Mist print. The dress is, unfortunately, sold out. (Keep an eye on eBay, though, as several times I've seen the pieces listed for sale.) Kate wore the dress in the Chrissy style with the same print for a Place2Be meeting in 2014 and again when she departed India for Bhutan as a part of 2016's Royal Tour. I had originally purchased the Chrissy, but the style and material did not suit my petite size. It got re-homed to another Replikater, and I bought the Brigitte instead.
I've received several questions about the difference between the two dresses. The Chrissy is made of jersey, while the Brigitte is cotton. The Chrissy zips up the back, while the Brigitte buttons down the front. Both have belts and long sleeves, but the Chrissy has a round neck, while the Brigitte has a collar!
I accessorized with Kate's Stuart Weitzman Corkswoon cork wedge heels and a replikate of her Stuart Weitzman muse clutch.
The weather is unfortunately about to take a turn- my phone has alerted me that there's the potential for snow on Tuesday, so while this was a short-lived foray into spring, it's definitely got me dreaming of the blooming, blossoming future days ahead in a few short months!
Just a quick site update... there's a new page in the Menu called Shop Like a Royal with shoppable links of royal fashion and pieces mentioned in my posts. Bookmark the link for continuous updates on where to find Kate, Pippa, and Meghan's favorite items!
