I had grandiose plans to have two blog posts per week up in February, but it turns out I'll have just an eighth of that, and you know what? That is totally and completely okay. One of my new years resolutions was to be kind to myself (physically, mentally, emotionally) and sometimes having grace in what I do accomplish feels a million times better than beating myself up over what I didn't. Life happens, after all!
February is a hard month in some ways- it's when I'm about to say ENOUGH! to the cold and dreary weather. I'm definitely a product of my environment, so when it's cold, rainy, windy, and possibly snowy, it's hard to feel motivated. BUT... a few days of 70+ weather this week and, miracle of miracles, the daffodil bulbs I planted last year decided to pop their green heads up from the ground, made me firmly realize we are cruising right into spring, and I could not be more excited!
Embracing some of the cold, wet weather this week, I embarked upon a Gene Kelly/Debbie Reynolds moment with an umbrella and my trusty Hunter wellies (a favorite of Meghan Markle's), and skipped through the puddles like a little kid.
It was glorious.

Over the holidays, I found a great Replikate for the Duchess of Cambridge's pink turtleneck sweater from John Lewis that has been long sold out.

It's from J.Crew Factory, and will transition well into the warmer months. The best part? IT HAS POCKETS! It's also currently on sale for $29.99!
I've also linked my absolute favorite jeans... I bought four pairs in various colors and they are on heavy rotation. They are without a doubt, the most comfortable pants I own (and under $100)!
Finally, I bought the new Kate-inspired lipstick from Charlotte Tilbury (appropriately named "the Duchess") and I have been wearing it non-stop! It smells divine and the color is the perfect shade of rose! It's available online for a limited time, so don't hesitate to snap one up!
As a departing note, Winston has also not been loving this weather... here's a snap of him in his new raincoat. I crack up everytime I see it!
